Jason Demetrius Blackcloud, 34, was arrested for fatally assaulting Jerry Hurt, 46, on August 26, 2008. Police said Jerry was walking down 14th Street Southeast Street in Cedar Rapids when a man on a bicycle came up to him, got off the bike and picked a pipe up from the street, then hit Jerry on the head and rode away. Jerry died later at the hospital.
