DOB:  April 27, 1985
Charge:  Accessory to felony murder
County:  Douglas
City:  Omaha
Current Status:  Released
Partner in Crime:  Timothy Britt, Anthony Davis
Date of Crime:  July 9, 2012
Victim:  Miguel Avalos, Miguel Avalos, Jr., & Jose Avalos

Anthony "Pookie" Davis, 35, has been on trial for three counts of first-degree murder. He is charged with the July 2012 killings of Miguel Avalos, 44, Miguel Avalos, Jr., 18, and Jose Avalos, 16, in a house near Ninth and Bancroft Streets.

A third man, alleged to be in on the robbery, was named Greg "Fat Boy" Logemann. He was the one with the motivation to kill Miguel. Miguel had given Greg's wife meth for free. It's reasonable to believe that Miguel was having an affair with her and Greg was enraged by that. Greg was described as a low-level drug dealer. He testified that he wanted to get Miguel out of the way so he could rise in the drug trade.

Anthony rode in a van to the area of Miguel's home that night. The women in the van say that Anthony returned to the van 5 to 10 minutes before his co-defendant, Timothy "Mont" Britt. The women described Anthony as becoming visibly sick when he had a side conversation with Timothy after the robbery.

Tiaotta Clairday, Anthony's girlfriend, described Anthony as being distraught and talking several times about a robbery gone wrong. Over the next several days, Anthony talked to Tiaotta about needing to get away. She said she made phone calls to family in California asking if relatives would put Anthony up for awhile.

After the killings, Anthony called "and said he really needed me to come and get him, that something had happened," Tiaotta testified. "He said, 'People got hurt that weren't supposed to get hurt.'" She also testified that Anthony told her that they went to a house to rob it. Anthony and the other person he was with went into the house, referring to Timothy, and they just started shooting. Tiaotta's involvement in the crime began only after her estranged boyfriend, Anthony, called after the killings. She wasn't involved in the robbery or the planning, only in trying to help them cover it up.
