Alice and Echo were employed at Easter Foods in Ottumwa.  Echo worked there for 2½ years and Alice had worked there for more than 5 years.  The store manager, Jerry Milligan, said that the two seemed to get along fine.  "Everyone does here.  We have a happy group," he said.  Gene Meyer, assistant DCI director, said that Alice and Frank were "longtime acquaintances" and a love triangle may have been the motive for the shooting.
