Investigators believe the deaths of two individuals in a Lone Tree home were likely a murder-suicide. Tina Marie O’Leary, 30, died of asphyxiation in her home on February 21, 2009. Timothy Mellinger, 51, of Washington, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Authorities said Tina and Timothy had been in a two-year romantic relationship that ended around Thanksgiving 2008. Timothy was no longer living in the Lone Tree home where Tina lived. Investigators believe Timothy killed Tina before taking his own life.
