The recent deaths of Leon residents Ashley Singh, 20, and Brandan Brioch, 21, are being called a murder-suicide. According to Leon police, Brandan shot Ashley and then himself on January 16, 2010. The Decatur County Sheriff's office responded to the shooting after they received a 91 call at 12:07 AM.
Ashley and Brandan were parents of a 3-year old boy. Ashey worked at a Dollar General, Brandan as a carpenter at Boyd Construction. According to court documents, Ashley filed a temporary protective order against Brandan in October 2008 for relief from domestic abuse. The protective order was then canceled a week later at the request of Ashley.
