Victim: Colby Dandrow

There were five people being charged with the brutal torture and murder of 32-year old Colby Dandrow, whose body was found in an apartment at Park Ave and Pacific. He was bound with extension cords and a sock full of golf balls, gagged, stabbed, burned over several hours, all over a debt that's estimated around $60. Colby died of a hemorrhage with wounds to his head, face, neck and abdomen. He was stabbed 106 times and received cuts or slices 32 times. He had burns to his head, upper left arm and right thigh from a curling iron.
Five suspects kidnapped and killed Colby while trying to extort money from his family and friends. The prosecution's star witness, Jessica Loera, claims that at one point, Colby told her, "I don't want to die." She replied, "You're not going to die, just give them the money." Then Colby asked Jessica, "Can you let me go?" The girl testified that she feared what the others might do to her if she freed him, so the torture continued.
Other testimony pointed toward Joshua Minshall as the one inflicting the most pain with Joseph Tamayo and Brian Daigger freely participating, William Lieb and Alissa Parks to lesser degrees. Alissa is charged with murder and kidnapping. According to the testimony, she never laid a hand on Colby but she did recruit the others after Colby refused to pay $15 for a sex act. She asked for the $15 and it was given to one of the other co-defendants. However, he went and bough crack cocaine with that money and ended up partying and smoking it.
